Welcome to the Iowa Dental Association

The Iowa Dental Association (IDA) is the premier professional association representing dentists in the state of Iowa. In existence since 1863, the IDA is home to over 1,800 Iowa dentists, which represents approximately 80% of the licensed dentists in the state.

All IDA member dentists are not only members of the IDA, but also the American Dental Association (ADA) and their local district society.

IDA’s mission is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry, and to represent the interests of the members of the dental profession and the public which it serves.

Candace Bradley Receives Special Recognition Award

Jun 19, 2024
Published 6/18/24

The IDA Special Recognition Award is given to non-dentists for their service to the dental profession. One of this year's recipients is Ms. Candace Bradley.

Candace became involved in organized dentistry through her husband, Dr. Steve Bradley, allowing her to learn the many ins and outs of dentistry. Candace was appointed to the Iowa Dental Board in 2021 as one of its public members, giving her the chance to protect both the profession of dentistry and the public. She also serves as a legislative clerk for two representatives in the Iowa House.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Bradley on this award!
