The IDA Guest of Honor Award is given to an IDA member dentist who is active in their district, the IDA, and ADA and has shown leadership and made special contributions of service and knowledge to the profession of dentistry. This year's recipient is Dr. Brian Kim (Davenport). 

Dr. Kim currently serves as an IDA Delegate to the ADA House of Delegates, beginning a six-year term in this role in 2021. As a delegate, Dr. Kim helps to shape ADA policies and is a voice for Iowa dentists regarding new ADA initiatives and programs. In addition to his role within the ADA, Dr. Kim is a past member of the IDA New Dentist Committee, receiving the IDA New Dentist of the Year Award in 2020. He is a past president of the Davenport District Dental Society.
